Why on earth would you want the hood rino lined? It would look like **** worse than rock chips.

Just get the hood resprayed once a year. That'll be $50-100 at most depending on how much prep work you do.

There is some manner of 2 part truck bed liner out there that can be bought at napa or any other autopart store and I used it to try and armor up the rockerpanels of my old GTX. It works OK and didn't cost much. You wouldn't wanna put it on the hood though...The current rallycar has 1/8" UHMW plastic armoring the whole underside and wraps up to the tops of the rockerpanels, if you need to go hardcore. +1 on clearbra too.

Jay, how many sq ft did you end up using? Not that I can't measure myself, just trying to save time under the car.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

About half the can(s), man. I don't recall doing anything so complicated as measuring under the car, either...

ahhh, a spray on. What I found were sheets in various thicknesses.

More of a paint on. I thought you were asking about the bedliner stuff. As for the underbody plastic, I just bought a 4x8 sheet and called it good. Surprisingly little left over, too.

ohhh, yeah. sorry, I meant the plastic. I knew the bedliner was in a can. 4x8 seemed like a good size, was just curious how much you used. Word. I'm almost thinking of using the stuff on the GP as well, just to smooth out the underbody. the rear bumper is kinda like a small parachute, lotsa drag.

I've really thought about doing it as well. Looks good at 20/20

seen an entire jeep sprayed with rhino liner. Had a two tone job and the undercarraige was done. VERY impressive.

Also had a friend of mine do the rattle can in his truck bed. He did it for kicks, and it didnt hold up very well. If your gonna do it, do it all the way. I say if your really diggin your protege then do it. however if its just a beater car....not worth it.
