Started converting the interior to blue lighting...

I started converting all the lights in my interior to blue lighting, so far all I have blue is the deck and the gauge cluster.

    The Gauges:

Next up is to figure out how to change the color of the lights for the heat/air controls right above the deck.

Why not upgrade to a tach?

    Is ur car overheating?
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

Temperature is always at that spot, the car warms up REALLY fast, might be a thermostat that a previous owner had replaced?

Not many smashed Protege's around here, especially with a tach, when I find one though, i'll be replacing it.

might be thermostat, bad rad hose, or clogged rad...who knows.

I decided to roll with red. Helps the eyes on long evening drives.

When you pull the cluster, simply replace the bulbs with the little green "bulb condoms" with blue 194 bulbs. There's like 5 or 6.

                  I just used red.
I peered out from the castle window and looked over the splendor of ROTM county. Yes, twas' a much simpler time back then. Peasants would go about their postings, and I, the mod, would rule over them with an iron fist.

Yah, there was only 3 green bulbs in my gauge cluster, replaced them with a wide beam blue LED light (soldered to a 194 socket), and thats what I got.

The car doens't ever heat up past that point, even when idling in traffic, which leads me to believe its the thermostat, but it heats up really quickly, so I probably won't touch it for the winter unless it becomes a problem.

looks fine to me anyways, my temps gauge was always there when I had that cluster afaik.

btw, the lighting looks good, and to do the heater controls the same type of idea will most likely work.
