    how old is it. if it is still relativly new then you are fine. as the gasket ages it hardens and cracks. and Cablemirc has seen how you can snap an old valvecover gasket. if it is still rubbery then you are fine. if it is not then it needs replacing.

      yeah i painted mine when i had it off replacing the gasket. the paint was crappy and everything stains it. i should prolly repaint it

        If you take the time to remove the valve cover and you take your time and do it right, clean the cover, and get good paint, it should end up looking good. Here's how mine came out......



        ***Note*** That's my old motor. My GTR looks the same but I do not have a clear picture of it so I posted this.

        GTR motor swap, F&R Familia strut bars, MX-3 Rear Lower strut tie bar, GTX front bumper, GTX grill, EDM headlights & corners, EDM 323 rear garnish, EDM spoiler, EGT sideskirts, MX-3 seats, GTX steering wheel, EGT glass sunroof, WRX hood scoop (functional!!), and other things that take too much space to list.....
        TO DO LIST:
        EDM/JDM rear bumper
        EDM/JDM power folding mirrors
        Repaint car
