      Since its been bumped... Ill add that mine is stuck in lock position. I have been manually inserting the belt since 2001 I think lol
      Anyone knows what 9K rpm feels like? I do

        you guys need to take it in for recall. I just took mine in and got it done for free!

          I've taken mine to multiple dealerships and they all tell me my vehicle doesn't fall under the specific criteria. What did you use to claim the recall, if you don't mind my asking. I have a 91 protege dx.

              call up mazda at 1-800-222-5500 and ask if it applies to your car. They will ask you for your vin, so have it ready. If they say it does, tell the dealer that you contacted mazda about it and they said that there is a recall.

                If it's been in an accident, then I am pretty sure it voids any seatbelt warranty.
