MX6 spoiler = Canadian GT spoiler?

So I was walking by a first gen mx6 and noticed that the rear spoiler looks exactly like the 90-91 style canadian gt spoilers. Are they the same thing, or is the mx6 one a different length/contour?

I think I remember a member from here a while back who used an mx6 spoiler on his pro but couldn't member if he had to modify it or not.



Oh and BTW, if you pour degreaser on old used Royal Purple it turns from brown back to purple. Neato.

Hmm, not sure on that one. Did you happen to measure the trunk width at all?

Lol, no, didn't have a tape measure on me, and it probably would have looked suspicious for me to be doing that in a parking garage on some strangers car.

Also not sure how common these spoilers are in comparison to the canadian GT's, but it may be a easier to come by option.

Of course I can't find it now, but I swear I just read (today) someone say it's close but not the same.

ya no, trust me the gt spoiler is taller than that one.

^^^^ like stated above no its not the same. the gt spoiler is a little higher and the ends make a sharper curve towards the top of the quarter panels

we installed a mx6 spoiler on Pile_of_rd1's protege. there's tons of pic's of his car on here with the wing.

this was brought up last year also. the wings do look really similar. but when you compare them, the brake light is def shaped differently. so there not the same. but the mx6 wing is def usable on the protege's, and look great.
