    RHD windshield wiper system?

Just thought of something while watching Top Gear lol, I keep having issues of water being pushed into my window if it's raining with the window down (even 1/2" down!) and I smoke...

So I was wondering if anyone's ever thought of installing a RHD wiper system so it pushes water to the other side of the car...this would also illiminate the crazy snow/ice build up on the drivers side too since I always found it just kept mashing the snow into a solid chunk of ice on my last BG I drove in the winter time lol...

    am I crazy? lol

I don't think rhd wipers are such a good idea. Ever sit in the passenger seat while someone drives? The wipers don't get the upper corner of the windsheild. That's how it's going to be, only for the driver, not the passenger. In my opinion, not a good idea. I'd just go with rain guards. http://www.jcwhitney.com/ventvisor-t...d=d1455y1992j5

I understand where you're coming from, but nothings ever perfect maybe if Mazda actually designed a proper rain channel then we wouldn't need people like me getting wet all the time lol

I put the ventvisors on my Pro - BEST thing EVER!
I cannot stand driving in a totally closed box, something about the acoustics or whatever. I've always driven with window cracked a bit, even at -30F. I smoke too.
Ventvisors cut wind noise by a LOT, especially with the window down 1/2-2".
No rain comes in, with windows down less than 1".
With ventvisors, you can leave the windows down a bit winter or summer. At least two of mine are always down 1/2" or so, unless below 0F, and then it is just one (driver's). The car stays much cooler in summer. Any time of year it stays drier inside, eliminates fogged windows in summer and the most annoying ice on the inside in winter.
You do need to pay attention to how you park with respect to wind in very windy rain/snow, or you will find your seat covered with cold wet when you jump in! I park so the driver's side is away from wind and close the PS windows in that case.
Both heat and defrost and AC work far better with windows open a bit and air control at outside intake. Having the driver's window open tends to pull warm defrost air across the top corner of the WS, which helps a bunch with fogging and the snow packing issue.
There is also an issue with low oxygen levels in closed cars (or planes, trucks, buildings) on recirc, especially with a bunch of people in the car. This has been researched and found to be a real problem in driver fatigue - "fell asleep while driving" - and poor decision making while operating cars and airplanes etc.

One problem: I have not been able to find them for the 323 Hatch, though I've seen pics of JDM cars with them. Any leads? Or anybody interested if I start making them, which I will?

A related tip: Using 16" wiper blades on the Pro stops the wipers from blowing off the WS at high speeds, especially with a crosswind from the RF quarter. The LH blade lifts at about 80mph, but as low as 60 with the right wind. Short blades stop this. The excessively long stock blades just clean parts of the WS that you don't look through anyway. The shorter blades also reduce the work the wiper motor has to do, and increases the unit pressure, all of which gives better wiping. This is especially obvious in slushy/muddy slop. Use winter blades in the winter!

Yeah, I've been looking everywhere for them too. I don't smoke, but I like driving with the windows open a little, as I get a weird feeling in my ears if I drive with them closed, just like you are describing. Also, my exhaust leaks a little, and I find leaving the windows open a little helps with that. But I hate getting wet on rainy days, and I'm not looking forward to the snowy days.
