Actually I would guess it's not the tint but the actual reflector inside that is causing the "darker" look. This is true about RHD/LHD EDM/JDM spec for the mx-3 that have rear fog lights. The reflective bulb insert is differently shaped to create a brighter fog light than standard brake lights. There is also a difference between them as the USDM bleed into the other sections vs. EDM/JDM have partitions that create a square light look.
Do you have these in your possession to compare the insides? I don't know if this is the case but would be worth looking into to find out for sure...Last edited by Mooneggs; 03-10-2012, 08:16 PM.
