    Carpet and seats

My seats and carpet are now destoried do to gas being accidentally spilt on them... Long story... I have been reading mx3 interior will fit. Anyone agree its better than stock protege interior? Just looking for the best idea do to my local pick n pull charge is around $12 for carpet and $25-30 for seats they have 3 mx3's 4 or 5 protege's, 2 323's and a few miata's. what would you I know that I will never get the smell out of my seat and carpet. Trying to maybe get a game plan in place be for I go due to the 5-6 acres they have.
    Thanks

Using the search feature would have gave you the answers to your questions but ill be nice and tell you yes the carpets and seats(with mx3 rails) will fit in a pro/323/escort. The rear seat will but looks a little off.

Thank you turpro, I knew it would fit, was just ask for opinions on what looks better stock or maybe mx3, trying to figure out if its worth the swap. I was looking to see like you said if it would look off like the rear... Sorry I should have been a little more clear. Thanks

it's personal preference man, go sit in some seats and rate them from 1-5 and make your call. MX3 seats sit COMPLETELY different, Protege LX seats have tilt adjust, base models are for old short people...just depends on what you want for height, side bolstering, adjustability and comfort.

I think the best seat combo would be the 1 piece MX3 seats on a lower frame with "tilt" option as it'll all swap over with a few lock rings lol (including the lower cushion too)

it's surprisingly really easy to pull the lower cushion off lol I used a set of angled needle nose pliers and went to town. Then you could loop and twist some SS mechanics wire to re-assemble it

I have a question about that topic, i bought a pair of MX3 one piece seats. I fitted on car but i noticed the seats are 2 or 3" lower. But i not seat on them. With that installed a driver have the same visibility etc.? I have a daily n weekend BG Protege track car. Or these seats have an high mounts idea? Thanks

I'm 5'9" and I can see just fine over my steering wheel. Although I didn't like the "tilt" so I used longer bolts in the rear and spaced it up with about 6 washers to level it out.

Oohh i'm 6'-0", ok on this!!!

What you reefer on tilt? My MX3's seats no tilt, EGT current seats tilt perfectly but is only for comfort, for race isn't fine for race...

exactly, wasn't happy with the angle I was sitting on, so I used the washers in the rear to change the "tilt" angle since I have knee/back issues lol.

I really like the MX3 seats. My head doesn't rub the cabin with them which is something that really bothers me.

i have the tilt feature from the pro LX/EGT seats installed onto mx3 recaro's. its lower then stock pro LX/EGT but higher then MX3 rails.

it uses a mx3 & protege rail combo to sit level without the aid of washers.

remove the hog rings holding the cover & seat cushion to the metal frame & the side bolts holding the top half to the bottom.
seperate the halves & then pull out the steel frame from each. swap them & cut a small hole in the mx3 cover where the handle will come through for the tilt option. reassemble & done!
