There is a cruise control computer located in the passenger side kick panel, it has the Mistubishi symbol on it, it is not the engine ECU, it is small, about 3" x 4".
Have you switched the insterment cluster?

Thanx to Semtex's help i was able to finish the cruise controll swap and it works, although my engine idles much higher now b/c the acuators throtle cable is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch too short but i can live with my car warming up faster

heres kind of a quick howto:
first swap an lx steering column unless you wanna wire in all the little gizmos
second swap in the dash switch

next the brake sensor(the LX sensor has 2 plugs on it and there should be an extra wire hanging around up there that plugs in)....(you dont need any clutch sensor)

Lastly you need the acuator and the throtle cable that goes around the engine compartment and through the fire wall and connects to the exta plug holder thingy on the LX gass pedal. the Acuator is the drum looking thingy, you also have to hook the small vacume line to the top of the intake manifold (no moding needed)(if you need i can take a pic of this too)

after that i went around the block and it seemed to work just fine but my car does idle more and REMEMBER after u hook the acuator up to your gass pedal MAKE SURE you move the nut on the throtle cable on the TB cut its pulled very tight like the car is being flored.
