Sun roof map light removal infuriates me to no end.

Hi everyone I'm replacing/upgrading a **** ton of bulbs that don't work and I can get the cover off for the rear view mirror that's integrated with the front map light. I've broken the two trim removal tools I keep in my car and scraped the hell out of it with a tiny flat head. The FSM doesn't have any special instructions for it, so I feel that I must be missing something.

So if you've removed this in the past any hints? If it isn't normally this hard I wouldn't be surprised if the damn thing is super glued up there.

    Pic for relevance.

Using Linux for anything serious besides server or software dev is like using a tin can and a string for telecommunications.

someone must have smacked in there pretty good, because I've never had any issues with removing the front map lights.

I know the lower filler piece for the mirror has to be removed by pulling it straight down, usually with a screw driver.

The rest of the map light is just a few screws, then you disassemble the unit from the back I believe to replace the bulbs (it's been over 3yrs since I've done it personally)
