Im having some problems with my sunroof on my 91 protégé lx. It will open but it will not close. I can move it back with the allen key and the resistance of opening it with the allen key is about the same as closing it.
I went to the junkyard and found an escort gt with a sunroof. I might snag that but I don't want to tear down my headliner when it could just be a short or something dumb.
It wouldn't be surprised if it was the wiring because the owner before me installed an alarm and then ripped it out making the wires haggard throughout the car. I think this explains why all my window motors are slow, dash lights come off and on occasionally, and my sunroof not working.
Anyone have experience with these things?
