yea I found the early gen Escorts and the Protege/323 BG got really ****ty carpet material lol, the MX-3 is super plush in comparison

you mean the seats? I used the comet method on the plastic pieces to get rid of all the oils and whatever other **** that would keep the paint from sticking.

For the seats i just used fabric paint and called it a day on my mx3 seats. Looked good for about 40xxx miles then right no the butt / bolster area it started to fade a little, but that was it for the who interior. 15 mins later, it looked berand new again.

Thel liquid dye is awesome, but a lot more work / time / effort.

yeah for the seats and carpet. I was talking about the Rit dye.

Steve, zx2's have the same floorboards, and occasionally have black carpet. They're newer and IMHO a nicer carpet material. That's what I had in my wagon, maybe you'll get lucky and find one of those.

I vacuumed it, that was it. The zx2 I pulled it from had some nice gray/charcoal leather seats I'd have got but they were already taken.. Well the fronts were, they left the back.
