    Wiper Relay for 91 323 part # br72 67 740 ?!?!

So I have a 91 Mazda 323 and the wipers randomly quit working. I first thought it was the motor and replaced it. The wipers still don't work. I checked all the fuses in the cabin fuse box and they were all good. When the key is in the "on" position or while I'm driving if I press the wiper switch down or up to the two different speeds I can hear the relay clicking below my feet. Well I pulled the relay and was wanting to know is there a way to pull it apart to see if a solder point is bad? i pulled the front cover off but the relay itself is inside the little black case. If there is no way to repair it I'm not sure where i could find another one of these relays. I'm stationed in the middle of Oklahoma far far away from OKC. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it can be repaired if it's a bad solder joint. Can you post pictures of what you find inside when you take the cover off?

Above is an album of 4 pictures of the best resolution i could get of the relay. I tried to pull it out of the black canister and it seems stuck. I looked inside and the bigger capacitor looks to be glued to the side of the relay. I hope this might help. If anything what years are compatible with our BG model. I know ford escorts from 90-94 and protege's from 90-94 right? its been a while since i browsed this forum but I'm glad its still alive !

91-96 Escort. I think that board is supposed to slide out, but it's been a while since I looked at it. You might try cutting the glue with a knife. Just do it carefully if you try it, so you don't poke the capacitor too hard. That would be unpleasant.

I wouldn't be surprised to find that same relay in any 90s Mazda. Of course that's conjecture, but if I were already in a junkyard I'd check everything.
