please FTLOG use the search before asking a question that basic. V6 swaps into a BG has been covered a dozen times probably.

The Precidia has a 1.8L V6. Did you mean from an MX-6?

actually i did mean the 1.8L i allwasy get them confused , the motor came from a swap on a mx3 precidia , we put the 2.5 in it and i kept the 1.8

if its only the 1.8 they have like 130 hp right? so it prolly wouldnt be worth swapping all the extra stuff needed right, prob. be the best just to swap a dohc bp.. idk im prolly wrong here hah

you're correct, the 1.8 V6 swap is more trouble than it's worth... the BP makes almost as much power and is a much easier swap. If you're going to do a V6 swap it should be the KL03 or the KLZE... atleast get some decent power for your trouble

Even still going from a SOHC 1.8 to 130 hp you'll notice a very big difference. If you allready had the BP i'd say don't bother. unless everything is going to be given to you for free just swap in a BP it'd be cheaper if all you have is the V6 motor.

Yeah, 130hp V6 vs 125hp I4... it'd cost less to do the DOHC BP swap then to do get all the parts for the V6 swap most likely.

good point i could probably get a 1.8 dohc for a lot less trouble . im just kinda worried about the trany and the computer\harnes im not sure if i can reuse my computer . i allready did the auto to 5 spd swap and im currently using the auto ecu .i would assume that it wouldnt matter .

to add to my previous post , even if the v6 1.8 has only 130hp and the dohc has 125 hp im more looking into the torque specs , id assume its a lot more than the dohc but i could be way wrong there .

im not positive but i think on the dohc bp the torque is 114 ft-lbs and the 1.8L v6 is 115 ft-lbs .

                        Why would a 1.8 V6 make a lot more torque than a 1.8 I4? The V6 makes about 1 more lb-ft of torque IIRC.
