lol well here is the story,,, my key broke off in my igntion a long time ago so i was using a screwdriver to start it for a while ( untill i could get a new igntion) well then the rest of the igntion broke doing that as i knew it would just a matter of time... well then i was at work and my friend wired the car up on 3 toggle switches im not sure what he did exactly but basicly i had to toggles in my center consol., and one under the stearing wheel, one of them in the center consol woudl always stay on... then i would turn the one switch under the wheel and it would turn the car on accessory then hte other in the consol i would flip it up untill the car started and then i would put it back down right after to prevent ****ing the starter up.... well lastnight the switch under the wheel came undone on my way to work so the car turned off and i just twisted those two wires 2getehr, and then did the toggle thing to start it.. well i got to work took the two wires apaprt form under the hweel to turn the car off.., did the same thing to get 2 my friends house today... but when i went 2 leave my friends, i put hte wires 2getehr and the car didnt turn on accessory.... so i figured when i got outa the car i must not have seperated the wires enough so they where touching and the battery drained... well tried jumping it and nohting.. so i think when i got to my friends house when i disconnected the wires.. i pulled one of them lose form the ingtion loom itslef... can anyone tell me what wire is what... in the igntion area so that i know tomarrow when i go to pick it up.... or just how to hotwire it... lol thanks ..

hey Chad, if you're still curious on how to hotwire your car, you will need the key to turn on your fuel pump and accessories unfortunately. i know when my ignition switch went, i spliced in on the relay on the passengers side and made a push button start, which i am still using today.
also, what you can do to get your old key out, is take the paneling from behind
the steering wheel, then start to disassemble the ingition switch, just be careful, once its taken apart, you should actually see your keep sitting there, so its as easy as pushing it out then replacing your key and ignition switch (if the switch is the problem) and if its not the switch, you can EASILY make a push button so you'll never have to worry about it.
i cant take pics or tell you what wires to splice today tho, im working 9:30am-11:30pm today
good luck

First off take the four screws that hold the column cover on the steering column, and remove the column cover all together... one screw on the back of the metal key switch holds the plastic ignition switch portion on it, unplug four connectors for that... go to a junk yard and pull a good unspliced one out and swap... you can leave the metal one alone as long as the wheel is unlocked.. just use a screwdriver to turn the plastic switch... less risk of having the battery getting drained because of wire splicing... just find some way for somebody not to pinch your car from ya...
