haha! removed 5lbs of wire for stuff I won't be using again! man it feels good to cut crap out
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

Well wasn't today, but I installed a custom short throw shifter a friend and I made.
It's awsome! Very nice solid feel from gear to gear, and about 2" less travell per throw.

This is our quest; as the tail lights fade into the distance let it not be the jeers of others that say we can not do what others have, but to let the whistle of the bov the whine of our turbo and the roar of our exhaust announce to those who may say it can not be done that we will not go quietly into the night we will not bow to mainstream but rather blow by them doing mach speed laughing our asses off and giving them the one sure sign( ) so that they will understand their place in life when it comes to doubting a driven individual who owns a Mazda BG with a boosted BP

i drove to waterbury to pick up a spare transmission (thanks john!). then i stopped by tazman's house and checked out his cars... took his car through emissions and then took our escorts to the car wash.

when i got home i started farting around with some stuff for the project car. finally got the axles out of the hubs (they were severely frozen in there). cleaned up and prepped a bunch of random parts. took some badly worn axles that i have apart, stripped them down to just the outer CV... so i can bolt them into the hubs and roll the car around with no drivetrain in it, without damaging the wheelbearings. hoping to be able to bring it to be painted . gotta call some people next week about that.

Determined my wheel bearing was fine and that it actually has nothing to do with my tires either. Swap my boss's girl's Honda's wheels onto the Protege and the noises were still there. Going to be ordering a new axle for the passenger side maybe Monday-ish. Hopefully thatll get rid of my whoop whoop whoop noises, if not, Ill be searching for a G-Series transmission like there's no tomorrow. (If money permits of course.)

Also trying to collect $400 for some nice 18s my boss has for me. =]

--Also need to find some RCA's and wiring for my new amp.

Got 2 rear calipers from a local wreckers, and a red 94 323 grill (for the Pro), i needed one housing since i didn't win drilling and taping a new bleeder screw in my right rear one.

Also grabbed an early 90s Subaru Legacy Turbo hood scoop, and a Mazda G-Series speedometer cable, and some other misc (for the 323).

Anyone know what VF turbo came in the early 90s Legacy? She's auto, hood scooped and non-intercooled. Car doesn't have that many K, wondering if that'd be an upgrade for the VJ-11 i'll be getting.
