    Aftermarket Stereo mount/deck

Anyone know a website or something that has one for the 93 DX. I've looked in every walmart, autozone, and target and so on around here, and I've yet to find the EXACT one. I've only found ONE thus far that even supports Mazda, but it wasn't the right one.

One of the wally world's I checked out actually had the book that showed the number for the right one, but they didn't have it.

    Anyone got any clues?

Was looking for the Schorchse set...however that retarded company spells it's name.

Furthermore! Anyone actually used one of these yet? And if so, am I going to have to break out the ol grinder for a cutting session?

I don't know if I would trust that multi vehicle kit that smoke posted. Some of those can be more trouble than they are worth. I believe Metra does produce a Protege specific kit but I am not sure.

I know that Crutchfield sells a quality kit. If you are still having troubles, PM me and I'll call the stereo shop I used to work @ and get you a part #.

I've used one of the metra kits and thought it sucked.

I'll confirm that Smoke187's recommendation of the Circuit City Metra kit part number 99-7501 works. I just ran out to the garage to get the number off the bag, so it's definitely the right part number
Silentbob343- The Metra wasn't the best kit I've used, and the instructions weren't perfect.

I got mine from Cruchfield & fits perfectly.

My car is a Vazondissan. Part Nissan. Part Mazda. Part Ford. Part VW. Part Honda.

1993 Protege - DX with LX upgrades. Still rockin' the SOHC. Custom HID headlight Retrofit.

2009 Mazda 3 - Finacee Car. No power nothing. About to trade in for a 2014 Mazda 6 Sport.

Crutchfield's seems to be the best fit at first glance.

I have the Schorse....whatever the hell it's spelled like; kit, but it's for ford/lincoln/mercury, and on the back it says it covers Pros, but i'm seriously doubting it's for aftermarket replacement.

So chances are I'm going to grab the crutch.

Oh yeah it worked, but I wasn't impressed with it. Though I'm sure most of the kits are along the same level of quality.
