BFD. big f*cking drill. or. if there was more space I'd get a torch and some hefty strong pliers and try that. hm. that's about all I can think off.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

well, even tho the tank is out, i wouldnt want to screw around with a torch around gasoline. you never know what is still in the lines, or leaked all around me. ****, i guess i will have to try a drill. doesn't that risk damaging the threads tho?

it does. use a smaller bit than the bolt, make a hole, and try using a reverse bit to back it out. a long shot, but might work. rust ftl.

there is an easier way ..... go to crappy tire ... in the automotive tools section you will see a kit of 5 sockets .... they are cut with a spiral inside that will grab even completely rounded off nuts and bolt heads .. they are incredible ... but you will need some odd sized sockets to use em ... you'll see or ... if i can get mine out of the parts car i'll post pics

Alright, thanks. I don't get the socket thing though. Do you attach it to the gun or ratchet with a standard 3/8" or 1/2" drive? I guess i will go check it out tomorrow.

The tank is only 13.1 gallons? I did not know that. I put 12-12.6 gallons in every fill up. I guess now that i know, it will become a problem.

FTW 400 miles / tank is pushing it with mixed driving, b/c thats what i get.

Good luck with the gas tank straps. What was the reason for replacing the tank anyway?
