    BP-T or BPD

    So I was just looking at engines online and how you can get a GT-R/GT-X online for like 1200 on ebay and was wondering what you all think is a cheaper way to make horse power the BP-T or the BPD? but keep in mind I'm talking about building the BPD up like with a turbo for more power.

    Cause for me around here I called about a BPD and at the junk yard they said it was 750 for a decent shape BPD out of a protege.

    The BPD is the engine out of the GTR. You won't find one in a junkyard in the US unless some idiot sent one there that was swapped into something. You shouldn't have to pay more than $300 for a used BP.

      What Hadoken said!

      BPT = BP + VJ-20 turbo = 180hp
      BPD = BP + VJ-23 turbo = 210hp
      BP-05/BP-ZE = Normal 1.8 BP non turbo = 125hp

      JACK.

      The answer to your question tho, for reliability sakes i'd find a used BP, tear it down, check clearances, replace everything you can. Then boost it...there's a couple options out there now for turbocharging the BP. This would be the more reliable setup since you know the condition of the engine, and you can choose a turbo according to how much power you want to put out!

                check in the for sale section, under the internet sittings. there's a place that's selling rebuilt BPs for $700 SHIPPED.
