Had a Miata alternator on there and the bearing was noisy at 4000RPM and only output 13.2V no matter what RPM.
Replaced it with a used DOHC alternator and I am seeing 13.6V no matter what RPM and the belt squeals all the time although it's on there tight ... again bearing going bad.
Now looking for yet another alternator and not sure if I should spring for a new one of try another JY special.
i can pull the one off my sohc if you want it but no guarantees it will work for you i know it worked fine before car was totaled free of charge all you pay is the shipping i can have it on Ace tomorrow and have it to you the next day
i have one that does 180 amps, i want 250 shipped.
did you have it custom rewound?
Isn't the MPV alternator a direct swap just need to change the pulley. you get like 80 amps instead of 65 or something like that.
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.
