A '95 First Gen?

I just bought a 1995 Protege, but its the same style as the first gen. The registration, insurance, owners manual all state its a '95, but its unmistakebly the 1st gen. I'm just wondering how/why?

what month does it say? there were some crossover only in CA, I don't think the 95 first gen ever made it in the US.

Check the inside of your door frame on the drivers front. it'll say year and month made...something like 06/94 possibly. Once past the 6th month of the year, it's considered a year newer, ie. 95.

in canada we got the protege S as well, they're 95 year cars, but they have the same chassis as the BG, well they are a BG...just a 95 :p

They have the slant lights too

What are the "slant" lights?

Ohhh, and I checked, the car as made 12/94.

slant lights = slanted headlights. the later BG proteges came with the slanted 323 headlights.

In Canada you see 1g and 2g 95 pro's (as well as 95 323f's).
