Where to buy OEM gasket kit and Oil pump

I need to buy a new oil pump and a complete mazda oem gasket kit for a friend. Can anyone tell me where to get these? Mazda dealer quoted me 275$ for oil pump and 370 for gasket kit, way overprices. I don't want the Toga high volume stuff, just a new oem replacement which will get shimmed for higher pressure.

If someone can have these through mazda or MMS way cheaper, I'll pay shipping.

I'm pretty sure I can get a oem oil pump cheaper. Let me call my parts guy and then I'll give you a pm Do you need the complete gasket kit? Or just gaskets for the oil pump

The last 2 sites are great, the last one has a complete gasket kit. I'll have to contact them and ask if they ship to Canada though.

I know about onlineperformance, but they don't have oem.

watch out for "oem" oil pumps... Jho bought a pump at the dealer and it ended up being just a rebuilt unit.

personally i'd just take your stock pump and put some billet gears in it. thats what i'm doing the next time i have the motor out.

Easiest thing to do I suppose would be to go to Miata.net's marketplace and look at the merchants that deal with Canada... I HIGHLY recommend calling first to make sure they have the gasket set in stock after waiting almost a month for mine to show up from Moss (backordered...).

Don't worry, I searched but what google gives you most of the time is ebay crap and some other online big parts stores that sell all sort of crap as well. I already tried an ebay kit, it leaked after the 1st start...

I dunno about the oil pump. Last time, I just reused the one that was on the motor and it was weak, my bearings got some serious dammage and my crank is scrap now... the light was coming on every time the rpm dropped too low, around 500 rpm.

So this time, I want to make sure it's a good unit. How much are the gears? I could replace the spring with the GTR one as well and a new pin.

Anything else that could fail in the pump?
