You might a hell of a time clearing the firewall with that. Badass if it'll fit...'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

I know a guy that developed his own ITB systems, although they run around $1600. That's not including an ecu either.
I drove one of his ITB Miatas and it was incredible, I've never driven a car that revved up to redline so fast in my life. I'd rather F/I a DD though, I would ITB a Miata if it was my toy just to mess around in. You'll also use twice the amount of fuel they really suck down the gas

i know that it'll fit, without any clearance issues, because it looks to be about the same length overall with the throttle bodies as what the stock aluminum intake is, and it looks like the bolt pattern on the flange is the same. i doubt that it matters if the injectors are placed differently, its still sprayin the gas in there right up next to the head. cams are in the head so those dont really matter. my only real concern is that its for the DOHC miata head. i just wanna know if it'll fit on the SOHC head. and if not, are the heads interchangeable?
and i dont see how it would suck in more gas, because you have one throttle body per cylinder, so you can tune it much finer. i used to have a 72 datsun 240z and when i got it i put a triple weber side draft setup on it, and it actually helped my mileage out quite a bit. it got about 18 mpg when i got it, and after the webers were on i got about 26 mpg... so prior experience says that it is only benefits.
also, would i have to change out my ecu? i dont see why, but i just wanna know if itll work, and considering everything that would make it hard, ya know?loves BGs too much for his own good...

Ecu will be needed since the 323 ecu uses a VAF to determine the amount of air entering the engine."Discontent is the first necessity of progress."

Yeah look into ITB's off motorcycles, people buy them off ebay. Either way you're going to need some sort of management (ecu) whether it's a megasquirt or whatever.
Also can't remember exactly why ITB's use more fuel but they do, a lot more. Like I said not the best choice for a DD, but if your 323 is a toy go for it.
If you want to see more ITB's check out fuji-racing.com although his website is kinda fubar right now.
