Didn't Audi have problems with the K04s (or was it K03s?) in the S4 as well?

I remember hearing more than a few horror stories about bone-stock S4s grenading turbos at 50k...

The old twin turbo S4s used K03s, and they did have some problems with them. For the most part they held up pretty well; I think a lot of the problems they had stemmed from people pushing the turbos too far. The K03 was only good to about 10 psi before it exploded. The 1.8T had the same problem if you pushed the turbo too hard (it used one K03), but if boost levels were kept stock, the turbo seemed to be fine. I don't know how that correlates to the ones on new Mazdaspeeds, mind you, but that's what I know from my VW and Audi friends.
