    Power Cut-out....

Hey all, I just bought my 2nd Protege last week. Its a '93 SE with 185xxx kms, it still runs good and the body/interior is in good shape too. There is one weird ass problem that I have with it tho that I never came across in the 5 years that I owned my last one.

When I make right turns at speed (45km/h+) I seem to get fuel cut or something until the momentum of the car is going straight again. It doesn't happen with lefts, maybe at a much higher speed but nothing that I have noticed yet. If the fuel tank is a little more than half it doesn't seem to do it as much but once it starts to drop below, it gets worse as the fuel runs out.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas as to what I should be looking for?

Hmm. I've heard of it being fairly common on the escorts but not on the protege's. It's the baffling in the fuel tank itself that causes it to starve, not much you can do. I drive a protege and I let it get really really low sometimes and I've never had it cut like that.

Thats what I had figured, that it was the baffling. I had never had this problem in my last car, and I would let that thing get down to like 3L at times.
