    BG speedometer question

I have a 1990 Protege SE (DX), and it has the gauge cluster without a tachometer. I have a low cost source for a gauge cluster with a tachometer, almost the exact same odometer mileage too, from a 92 Protege DX.
The problem is that the new gauge cluster's speedometer needle is broken.
Is it possible to swap the speedometers within the cluster, or replace just the needle?

Replace the needle CAREFULLY. They are easy to break. The speedometers do not swap and you would have to take off the needles first anyway.

Okay, thanks for the answer! Does the needle pull straight out, or do I have to do anything else first?

You have to open the cluster first, but yeah it pulls straight out. I've been pretty successful twisting it against the stop while pulling. Don't touch the needle itself. Just the hub.
