    radiator

    Hey everyone!

My protege's radiator is busted open, and needs to be replaced. The local j/y had a protege lx with a single core radiator. Will that work with my car, even though mine is a two core? How much will it affect cooling? Remember, my cars are race cars, so they are always beat on! I don't want to have to worry about overheating, but I don't want to buy a new radiator because they are expensive.

    Any input?

I've got a single core in mine (manual trans cars came with the single core from the factory). They are extremely hard to find now as all the aftermarket radiators are the thicker (automatic) style since they are interchangeable other than the trans cooler inputs. I can't comment on cooling for a long race like you do. My car only runs for a few minutes at a time and I have both the stock main fan and aux fan wired to come on at the same time. It still works hard to keep the car cool in the middle of summer. I've got a thicker salvage radiator in a box ready to ship if you want to try it...$50 plus shipping.
