      The point is that water gets in the car, either as liquid leaks, or from breathing, shoes, etc. You have to get it out, either by venting it or by the AC - if that works and you have it.
      If you run on recirc with the windows up, it ain't gonna happen.
      Blocked AC or fresh air intake drains the same.
      Blocked rear vents ditto.

      If you have a Pro, then get some window air deflectors from JC Whitney, dark transparent plastic stick-on things. Best $60 I ever spent. The car is much quieter with windows cracked, much cooler in summer, and much less inclined to fog in winter/damp. And you actually get more heat or AC with the additional venting. I leave at least two windows 1/2" down even/especially when parked, which helps dry things out a bunch. But they don't make them for 323 Hatch, so I'm going to make my own for that car.
