    Rally build question

I'm in the process of swapping a 1.8 into a 1.9 Escort. The 1.8 used a cooler line on the power steering that is routed behind the front bumper in front of the radiator. Those of you with rally cars (ajax & others): do you use the cooler on your cars or did you remove because you thought it would be in danger in the event of an off?

You prolly wanna keep it. I never worried about losing it in an off and have yet to. Besides, if you do go off bad enough to wreck that hard line, you have other issues, like your radiator, that'll have much more to do with your upcoming DNF.
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.
