94 LX cuts off driving down the road,

Alright so it started the car would cutt off after you drive about 50feet, and wouldnt start till you pulled the key back out and put it back in, it would run then and die again in no time. some times you could get it to drive for miles with out it cutting off, but then it would die going down the road at 55 mph, tap the throttle and it would come back on,

We are lost on this we have replaced the intake pipe, MAF, filter, fuel filter, cap and rotor and coil. this car is auto aswell, what could it be? we are pressed for time so we dont know what to do,

neutral safety switch if the car just dies completely, will not crank.

Also might be the igniter by the coil if it cranks, those have gone bad from time to time, but not overly common.

ah thank you, is there a way to test the igniter off the car or what?

not sure about that one to be honest lol, when I had that happen to my Protege, it was the coil cutting out (Tach would drop before the car would die) but since you've replaced it already, it should be ok.

Alright well right now, i'm thinking its an igniter, cause every thing else is new, so is it a good chance it is that?

Well that didnt fix it, replaced igniter, coil, ECU fuel injection relay, TPS, fuel pump, every thing we are out of ideas,

the ecu keeps throwing a NE signal code, number 2 code, figured it was the injection relay so we replaced it, didnt work either, rewired the plug to the dist still nothing, it runs but cuts off in about 5mins

            Any ideas?!

This might sound stupid but I had a similar problem with a kia sportage, It had a bad ground on the motor and it keep shutting off... check the engine grounds u never know.

i am about to recheck the grounds here in a bit, and redo them, its just got me and my dad stumped, it just started doing this one day, 224k miles and this is the first problem we have had from it, it still had the org fuel filter on it till about a week ago, but after replacing almost every thing there is to be replaced other then the motor we just dont know any more haha

Yep, I bet the ig switch has gotten loose in its old age and is either shorting out or just going open circuit.

                        Am I missing something here?
"the ecu keeps throwing a NE signal code, number 2 code, "
just MIGHT lead me to look at a distributor problem, after checking connections.
But it certainly wouldn't lead to:
"figured it was the injection relay so we replaced it," or most of the other stuff you did.
And yes a bad distributor acts just like that.
The only other thing that will act like that AND give that code is lack of power to the dist.

Alright well fixxed code 2 ran great drove it for a few days, and now it dies at idle, now a CEL is on, it just came on, its throwing code 25, which is fuel pressure regulator control solenoid valve right? i was searching on here, and was reading a thread where you can delete that solenoid by bypassing it? wanna verify that,

This thing just keeps having problems, driving my family insane as it is there DD.

Not to be a PITA, but it is good for all if you tell us exactly what you fixed and how. That's called contributing to the knowledge base, it's how we learn so we can help folks.
