Who gives a sh!t what the scientific notation for the margin of error is? lol
I was just saying I think they were off, or that I guess my car performs differently that the car they tested.
Just curious, was that top speed before or after the body kit/lowering? And what other mods did your car have?
And my point with including the mention from Road & Track is that although they saw 130+ on the speedo, it doesn't mean that the car was in fact going 130mph. Unless you time it over a (know) measured distance, or use a calibrated external source, there is no way of knowing how accurate your speedo is.
Edit:
The reason for asking about whether you had the body kit...My first car was a Chevy Monza. I put one of those rubber-lipped air dams on the front. It was worth nearly 10 mph in top speed (106 vs 97, based on tach reading) from reduced drag. It also felt better due to reduced lift.

The car is lowered about 2 inches. I did not have my bodykit on at the time, I have the SOHC tranny (which might explain something) and I had my Z-rated tires on the car. Also, it was about 0 degrees Celcius (32 degrees Fahrenheit) the aiport I was driving next to is at an altitude of 117 feet. Also, there were zero modifications made to the motor at that point, other than the head conversion.
