ya that's what I'm thinking too lol what could sheer off like that... :S

ANYWAYS I've been struggling to get a 2.25" stainless catback system that was off Sockingtons 323...but damn does it not want to cooperate haha. The joys of putting a custom system on a car that's downpipe was routed to the OEM location/angle...**** just doesn't match up!! I've added a bend to the front to try to get it close...but it's at a funky angle and I'm concerned it will break something if I crank it down lol...so she's on jack-stands til monday now so I can bring her to a shop.

I'm surprised the BP-26 ecu can control the car properly/safely. It's only good for around 15/16psi on the VJ-20 turbo, so all the extra airflow that the VF has, I'm just wondering what the AFR's are like? Do you have those recorded on the dyno? Does your car hit boost cut at all?

Is the stock gtx/gtr fuel pressure regulator rising? I believe that the stock protege and escort ones are rising rate. If this is the case then that would be why people are able to make more power with an ecu that is only rated for 180hp from the factory without blowing their **** up.
bp swapped escort lx, gtr ecu, gtr intake manifold, A code VAF, rx7 460cc injectors, ky clutch, holset hy35 turbo on 8lbs, 38mm tial wastegate, ramhorn manifold, full 3 inch ss exhaust, walbro 255 fuel pump

AFR's aren't ideal, but they are certainly not leaning out. Honestly they are a little richer than I'd like. and no, I don't get any boost cut at all with the B code VAF. I did with the Y and the U though.

the FPR has nothing to do with making more power on the turbo ecu's.........not unless your "ghetto tuning" it
                          vaf adjustments are the key
