no floor holes for them and didnt want to have to try and re-inforce the floor where it would mount . this is much more secure i think than a bolt and washer though the sheet metal

besides .. i'll pretty much be the only driver .. who needs to adjust the seat that often. it can still be adjusted . just have to reach under

Both. They were all cracked to some extent, except the ones attaching the runners to the flange.

now to rig up an adjustment system. didnt want to use spacers and HAD to use the mx3 inner rail for the seatbelt so i used
1 GT rail and 1 mx3 rail and OFC the adjustment levers are on opposite sides.

I have a set of USDM rails and could send them your way if it would help. Free+shipping? They have the belt attachment, and would bolt right on to the GT seats. Plus you'd have adjustment levers again.

Escort/Tracers never got floor buckles AFAIK*. Even the manual belt Escorts should be attached to the seat IIRC*.

*Disclaimer: I've only spent 15mins in canada and didn't see any BG's while I was there. I could very well be wrong, and you'd know better than I. Maybe it's just the 4+door Escorts that didn't get floor buckles?

My brother stepped on & exploded a 32 ounce container of blueberry yogurt trying to get in my car......

I had the exact same thing happen in my old EGT!!! The yogurt got in behind my dash though since it exploded towards the firewall....lol nothing like yanking a dash to get yogurt out :/

SO I painted the windshield valiance/cowl thing today, since I now have all the little taps to cover the screw holes...she looks minty fresh again

Also painted my ignition bracket and ALL the hardware...looks mucho burrito now lol (my attempt at comedy)

yeah ford did some goofy **** to the fuel system ... oh and leaky too ... be gentle knocking the retainer off ..

the retainer ring & seal are cheap at ford......... make a sincere effort to go buy new pieces.
