I don't really either, but it's an interesting experiment.

Psh... you'll be fine. Escort Wagons are killer in the snow. You think Just because you have that BABY turbo, that all of a sudden it will not be kosher.

You gotta have balls of steel to drive that thing in the snow. And nerves of steel to stay out of boost for 30 miles.

I basically learned to drive in upstate NY in the winter, so I can't think of a situation where I'm more at home than at night in the snow while driving an Escort wagon on snow tires. Bonus: unlike the one I had in college, this car doesn't require me to choose between having a defroster and keeping a short-tempered Cuban happy.

Staying out of boost seriously takes all of the willpower I have, but the car does remarkably well merging onto the highway and stuff without it.

                Boring as ****, though.

Awww. Just found another clean White 4door Hatch for sale. Of course, once I get one, they start popping up on craigslist. This one is a 91, and I think I'm gonna go look at it. I have a co-worker that keeps mentioning that they like my Hatch, Maybe I'll snag it and sell it to her, or maybe I will keep it if it's real clean and do a Twins project. One with the BP and one with a KL.

                      Eh-eh-eh-eh. I am aren't I.

Think about it though. Build them identical on the outside. One day, beautiful V6 noise, next day same car w/4cyl, spooling and BOV noises, and back to that V6 sound the next. People would be like WTF? There are a few regulars on my commute that would be confused.

I'll post pics of it soon, it's just that it came with a condition. My buddy spotted the guy driving it 6 years ago, chased him down and left his tel # with him asking him to call him should he want to sell it. He called him a couple of weeks back. He bought the car for the doors, trunk lid and hood and sold the rest of the car to me. He pulled the above off and replaced them with those of another RED 91 GT, still in good shape...Thing is, I already have all of the above in storage in black anyways...so I'll just replace the reds with the blacks and put the reds back in storage...

Not sure if I want to post a pic of it with the red stuff on it...

Haven't been very active on CP of late... lurking and that's about it... doesn't mean I haven't been working on them though. I've got a few pics to put up: one is how much I have been procrastinating on my own stuff... I prepared blackie for an engine swap, then got busy with other stuff. As you can see there were leaves on the trees when I started. The other engine is in; all there's left is some minor wiring, valve timing, calipers and bleed clutch and brakes...

Today I finished with removing all the red stuff on my 91 GT, I don't have pics of it yet since I need to buff the hood still...I still need to replace a broken trailing arm, re install the power steering that the previous owner butchered, ( he owned it for 1 day and managed to screw stuff up) replace a rotten line on the rack, then take it to safety.

I should have some better pics by end of the weekend. this 91 is really sweet...

Purchased a new cap and rotor yesterday! Cap looks sexy awesome, all brass contacts! But the stupid cap didn't have the proper bends for the floating contact so I'm bringing that back lol....pretty sure the cap isn't supposed to shoot off the distributor due to how "springy" the floating contact was lol...

I noticed nothing beneficial though from swapping this over :/ my old cap wasn't too healthy from the looks of it either...now it feels like it's missfiring (lack of power) when I try to get into boost now...fml
