Nice Jack! I just filled the wagon, and got 33.9mpg mixed driving, and I was stoked, but 36.5?! That's pretty damn good! I guess having .7 liters of additional displacement, I shouldn't be any less thrilled about mine, but damn... Jelly.

Oh, we got a pretty good storm this morning, and the wagon is still killer in the snow, even with ****ty tires. However, anything over 1/4 throttle = instant loss of traction, even in 5th at 40mph downhill on freshly plowed roads, it just spins.

I'm glad that this thing is still a snow machine, now if the heater just worked as well as the one in my hatch. I've decided that I'm not driving the hatch in snow, just in case someone slides into me, so the wagon it is on snow days.

34mpg from a KL is damn impressive! My 626 would only get around 28mpg with me being easy on it lol.

My BG has gotten around 39mpg before as well, but that's not getting into boost lol...but that's pretty boring.

I know, I couldn't believe it. Compared to when I was getting 15 in the mid summer, I'd say I've worked out the bugs.

Makes me want to kl swap the hatch too. I still just may.

Maybe a touch, but I had the wrong VAF/ECU/injector combination when I first built it. It ran so fkn rich, I could run straight E85 and still have too much fuel. Gigantic fireballs on the shifts rich.

Now I run the k8 ecu, kl02 vaf, and kl injectors, and it runs so much better. I've been in the 29-32mpg range for a while now, maybe since fall, so it's possible that those last few MPGs came from cooler AITs.

For ref, I had a je50 before and all I swapped was the VAF. The kl02 vaf leaned out the AFRs quite a bit. The real problem was the KL injectors, they are larger than the k8 ones. So i matched them with a kl VAF, and bingo, it worked

It wasn't much more than a BG believe it or not, the ATX 626 came in around 2800, while the MTX was around 2700. If it didn't have power seats, power sunroof and leather it would have been stupid close to BG territory.

Drove the zx2 in the snow for the first time the other day. I found out a few things. One, I need to install a set of snow tires. It doesn't take off as nicely as I'd like it to. Two, I think I need to install a bigger rear sway bar. It tends to understeer while cornering in the snow. My old 323 liked to oversteer, as I had a 21 mm rear sway bar, along with delrin endlinks, installed, and I think that those things, along with the smaller front sway bar, made it prone to oversteer, which I prefer over understeer. Third, I need to replace my e brake cables so that I can get the back end out easier. I was able to do it pretty easily by left foot braking, but that's hard on the front brakes, and I'd prefer to not put any extra wear and tear on them.
