Oh man have I been in situations like that before!! It took me 3hrs to drive about 20km, and I made it about 60ft from my house before I had to start up the snow blower and clear the road haha. The car was waaaay too low even though it had meaty snows on her...I remember I had to keep reversing up a small incline to make a left turn, but the car wouldn't turn at all and continue sliding down the incline haha...even a few times where I'd let the clutch out in 1st and push the car too!! Oh memories :/

There is a rubber spacer that goes around the lens before you put it in the case that prevents that. Most people I know don't use it because they don't know that's what it's for.

I don't know if mine came with that.

changed spark plugs, bumped the timing up a lil bit, decreased the idle and put some oem miata lugs on the car.

            edit: got a question

when i jumped the gnd and ten, the cel would flash 1 slow and 8 fast, (18) but that does not come up in any cel code that I have looked up. I counted it multiple times and i always came up with 8.

This is what i have found:

            Codes:
            02 Distributor Ne-signal
            03 Distributor G-signal
            08 Airflow Sensor
            09 Coolant temp. sensor
            10 Intake air temp. sensor
            12 Throttle position sensor
            14 Barometric pressure sensor
            15 O2 sensor
17 O2 sensor has detected a rich or lean condition
25 Solenoid valve (fuel pressure regulator)
            26 Solenoid valve (purge control)
            34 IAC valve
            41 Solenoid valve (VICS)
so maybe it was flashing 8 fast for the airflow sensor?

probably 10 08 since thats the codes for the VAF and the air intake sensor in it.

SO I need a vaf? That would kinda explain my dropping fuel mileage

i would check the connector to it and get out a multimeter and check as per the fsm before i change it . cel's arent always what they seem to be

its funny bc it pulled a cel, but the engine light has never came on since 2006.

Got a new speaker box and amp for winter beater 323. The old sub was really old and loose, the amp was a 21! year old Pryamid. LOL Got this 12" MTX box, amp and sub all on sale for $149.99 at future shop. $100 off boxing day sale.

The stereo is kinda a mixed bag of stuff that was on sale. I have Sony front speakers, Infinity rear 6X9"'s and a basic Pioneer deck. Should be plenty to pump up the jams all winter long ;-)

ps if your advice is along the lines of "less boost" / "smaller turbo" / "go megasquirt" save yourself the trouble and save me the effort of typing out "go **** yourself"

I'd pop the bottom plate off and clean the living **** out of it...I polished mine afterwards and I've never had it stick open on me before.
