    Got the head back from the machine shop, all cleaned and milled. Time to go to work on it

        working on my temp ic piping (just a mock-up coupler hell atm) and realized... where shoul i plumb in the IAC?? running MS so no vaf. should it see boost or no and if not wouldnt that create a boost leak?

          Do you want to see the bare head or what work I will be doing with it Ryan?

          I would leave it where you have it in the picture. It should see the temp entering the engine and located in a pipe isolated with couplers to minimize heat soak.

                since you have no Vaf to worry about pop a crappy little filter on it and call it a day, otherwise anywhere along the IC piping is fine.

                  thats what i thought but then i was thinking iac will be in use( i have that option on MS and where i live IAC is a must) thats basicly a hole in my intake unless there is a way to make it close under boost or am i way off?

                    it's how they had it hooked up from the factory, so it's probably the right setup man. If you get one of those couplers with the 1" port off it, you can experiment with having the IAC on the inlet pipe, or the charge pipes...other wise I'd leave it on the charge pipe and forget about it lol.

                        Took off the front bumper and pulled it into the shop to install the new motor.
                        bp swapped escort lx, gtr ecu, gtr intake manifold, A code VAF, rx7 460cc injectors, ky clutch, holset hy35 turbo on 8lbs, 38mm tial wastegate, ramhorn manifold, full 3 inch ss exhaust, walbro 255 fuel pump

                            staring at mine from my work desk... Tracy's dirty.
                            im still waiting to do my retrofit on this car as ive aleady done it on my other one. i have the bulbs and everything needed just the time is missing! I did move to a new house though so thats takin up alot of my time.
                            Anyone knows what 9K rpm feels like? I do

                                its basicall a controlled vacume leak, boost wont effect it since the vale is basically closed once off idle. as Mazda powered stated OEM is on the chargepipe
