I am pretty tall but the lack of sunroof is why you have lots of headroom. I only have an issue in my car which has a sunroof, my girlfriends ZX2 doesn't have a sunroof and I have plenty of headroom in it.
The only thing with the s/r ecu is that it drops your mpg a little, as it gives it a bit more fuel. Not ideal for a daily driver if you're picky about gas mileage. But if you don't mind losing a little mpg to gain a bit of power, it's a good mod. The others are really good mods. I noticed a small increase in power with my iceman intake, and I am going to be machining a custom udp pretty soon for my car. I have all the materials, just need to make it. Going to be making it smaller than the ford racing/esslinger pulley, but bigger than powder's pulley. Also, another good mod is a borla muffler from a zx2 s/r. It makes the car sound WAY better. Oh, and porting the throttle body helps a bit. How to is on teamzx2.

AFAIK, Atomic does not like short shifters. Most likely he will put some crazy shift knob that looks like a dildo on the stock shifter, that way he can shift and steer with his right hand simultaneously, while blowing kisses to random people with his left hand.

S/R ecu requires premium, does it not? **** putting premium in a slow car. also **** short shifters.

Does not require premium but will benefit from it

Afaik the s/r ecu gets the same mpg as the others because it is only tuned for hard acceleration/ wot. But I could be wrong.
I didn't bring up the borla(although I agree it is a very good mod) because they are relatively hard to find, and require a bit of work to install.
And porting takes some time and work too.
Side note, do you have your own lathe or access to one or something? I have thought about making my own, but I've never done groves for that type of belt. Is there special tooling for it?

That's why I only suggested things that take 5 mins to install (minus the sts)

My buddy had an '00 s/r, and he said he got 28 mpg with the s/r ecu, and then he tried a standard ecu, and got a best of 32 mpg, in the under the same conditions. (highway miles) I myself haven't gotten an s/r ecu, so I can't say for sure. (I don't need one, as I have an sct tuner.)

And yeah, I have access to an entire machine shop at college, and I also have access to my grandpa's old lathe. I'm still doing some research on actually making underdrive pulleys, but afaik, you don't need special tooling to make underdrive pulleys. At least for the zetec. Other motors (the bp, and many others) might need special tooling if they need a keyway on the pulley.

doesn't seem worth it. like, at all. I mean, maybe if I found one super cheap?

UDP and intakes and stuff are nice, but it seems like I'd have to go to Escort forums to buy stuff that's not eBay garbage and I'd rather chew glass

I found those on eBay, I didn't know they were legit though.

Swapped winter tires on and got rid of the stupid rubber accordion shift boot for one from an MX3. Much better.

Also, not gonna bother with an exhaust on this thing unless it rots out- I'm okay with how it sounds.
