Got my exhaust welded up. Also was checking the torque on my LCA bracket bolts as I was hearing a noise that sounded like that and the weld inside the unibody snapped. Awesome, so I cut a hole in the wheel well and cut the bolt off and used a nut and bolt. Pretty simple fix but still a pain in the ass.

I found out my head is warped. Straightedge leaves a .016" gap right in the middle. That seems like too much to shave to me. Am I wrong?1990 Protege 4WD

Yeah, I don't know how much is too much for this head. I'd like to keep it non-interference too since it's theoretically my daily (only) driver. I have the deep dish GT-X pistons though, so that should help. I'm not sure which way to go on this...1990 Protege 4WD

aw hell. i misread that the block was warped. ****ing shave that dirty bitch. it'll run like a champ afterwords from the compression bump. I've done it on several motors. including my currently running FE3.
bring it to the machine shop & tell them to make it true again. & give you a spec how much material was actually removed.---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---
