bought some fuel injector insulators. did a boost leak test the other day and one of them is leaking
Ebay has some OBX branded thermal intake gaskets for cheaper than the Hondata ones. I'm thinking about getting one of those and doing that at the same time.

Hmm. We put one on a friends MS3 and it lowered his boost air temps a good bit. I can't remember any numbers off the top of my head though. Honestly though, I'm doubting there would be any benefit to 10* lower intake temps.. Not like the ecu is smart enough to add timing due to temperature.

I know. lol those cars ECU's are very smart and seem to react accordingly. Maybe I'll do it for ****s and giggles. Measure it before and after with my infrared thermometer.

pressurize from the intake of the turbo like I always have, that way it pressurizes the charge piping and the intake manifold too. It starts leaking from the first injector seat about 6psi. I don't block anything off.

Imo, any time you cool the intake, you have benefits. Cooler air is denser, and denser air makes more power. The real question is, will it be a noticable amount of power? (And my thoughts are that it won't be noticable, as you can't really feel a 1 or 2 hp increase with your butt dyno. It usually takes 5 hp or more to notice a difference. But still, every bit of power helps)
