7k/4k works out to 392/224. Doesn't seem too awful. 8k is 448 lbs. Now that seems a bit much.

Yea anything more than #400 in the front and it'll be a bit stiff on OE spec struts, but I always avoid/slow down for damaged/raised section of road...sure handles well though! lol so it all depends on what application you'll be using them in really.

Well they're full-body coilovers, not sleeves on struts.

Kilograms. For some reason, manufacturers like to measure and advertise their spring rates in kg per mm vs lbs per inch.

Those numbers make no sense. A Kg is 2.2lb, a mm is .040", so 8000 of those is a friggin' rock.
Or are you using "k" to mean Kg? Please post units correctly!
I am looking into some stiffer springs, since I am driving beyond the limits of my suspension, but shekels is an issue.Still looking for some OE strut that has stiffer springs and matched damping.

gofanu...either spring rates are posted in kg/mm or lbs/in so if it says K it's KG/MM, it if says # or LBS then it's LBS/IN...that how everyone generalizes those specs!

              Spring Rate
              kg/mm 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 12 14 16 18 20 22 24 26 28
              lb/in 168 225 281 337 393 450 506 564 674 787 899 1012 1124 1232 1344 1456 1568

                OK thanks.
Extreme shorthand is v confusing when you are not in the loop, and I've not come across this one before. Comes of being of the (old)British/American performance world I suppose. The common use of "K" to mean thousand, or 1024 if you are a computer geek, without differentiation, drives me nuts. I had taken the "k" first quoted as thousand, so the numbers were off scale. I did think of Kg/mm, but thought that was an inappropriate unit for this, Kg/cm would be more in line.

PS Daughter's 323 has leaked all the oil out the rear struts, and has new KYB front assemblies - talk about exciting driving - sideways on I80/95 in NYC traffic from a little patch of rough pavement- at 80moh! Front tied down and rear loose = not good.

Hey would anyone be interested in some SS slider pins with machined grease groves for the OE calipers front and rear? I know Ferdi was asking a while back what we'd like to have fabricated next...and this came to me today as I was sanding the slider pins from my knocking caliper...you can only fit so much grease in there, and it only lasts so long before it's all used up and starts to rust/seize them in. I'll bug him later on tonight probably.

Got a response from Ferdi and he's looking into some calipers for the SS slider pins with grease grooves!! I'm going to add zerx fittings to my calipers so I'll never have to pull them apart unless I do rotors lol!!

yeppers, all 22-13v and 22-14v use the same caliper backing, it's just the front where it holds the pads that are different

edited that because I had that ass backwards LOL

I'd be in for a full set for the ZX2 (since I'm going to do rear discs eventually) and a front set for my sister's wagon...
