Trying to past inspection. If you care to donate spindles, rotors, ball joints, brake pads so I can have big brakes in the front and the rear subframe for disc brakes with the lines and ebrake cable, and pull a escort wagon rear sway bar and a zx2 front bar, I'll be stopping and handling mother****er. Until then, stock small 22-13 brakes it is.

I'll pm you my address so you can ship the parts when your ready Princess.

Jack, I guess the way I said it implied it wasn't worth the effort?

and can we stop perpetuating this **** that there's a difference between the wagon and GT rear sways? they're the same thing. seriously.

Yup, they are exactly the same. I've cut both in half, and measured both. Both are solid, both are the same diameter. If you want an upgraded sway bar, you will have to go aftermarket. Or find some other car that has a similar setup and make custom mounts and stuff. Or you can make your own way better by making some derlin bushing and using those on the back. But using derlin bushings is sort of complicated. And if you are wondering what I mean by that, it means that you need to put one polyurethane bushing in each endlink because the derlin doesn't give enough. It would break the bar if you used just derlin. And you can't use derlin on the front bar. It will break the bar no matter if you use a polyurethane bushing or not. I've done it. on both sides of the bar.....

Oh, and you need to make sure you lube up the bushings real good, or they seize up.

Now, what did I do to my bg today? How about reinstalled it's ecu and drove it. (The race car, that is. 323 is still not running.) Also took some exaust videos of it. I don't know why, but it seems louder than when I drove it last. I'm wondering if my glasspack burnt out again last race. But it's still quieter than a straight pipe.

Ugh, I was serious, I wasn't being snappy. For the driving that I do, there is no need to upgrade to slighty bigger brakes and stick with drums out back. But im not poor. I choose to invest money in camera equipment than this particular around town everyday car.

And thanks for the clarification on the rear sway bar. I read here that the wagon bar was bigger, in several threads.

replaced the drivers side axle seal on it. If the idiots at O'Reilly's knew how to look up the right part the first time I wouldn't of had to do it again.

Installed the exhaust from my MX-3 parts car. Its so nice to have a quiet car again. I must be getting older.

Also replaced the upper and lower rad hoses and the rad cap.

I've used Delrin (not sure what that derlin stuff is, maybe it's got a different durometer rating?) on the front, all bushings, no grease, and never broke a bar yet. Bent a bolt, but broke nothing. Probably something different in the suspension somewhere, I'm sure.

Hmm, on a BG.. the green EGT that I used to own, and sold to a buddy several years ago, popped a rear brake line, so I fixed it and the other that was just starting to weep. and put new battery terminals on it, and added a quart of oil, and replaced the passenger tie rod end. rotated tires, flushed the brake fluid, found a bad rear wheel bearing, and located the two exhaust leaks that will require a new downpipe and flexpipe. took photos of the undercarriage to show my buddy that he REALLY needs to get another car, no matter if this one is still going strong, because it's going to snap in half pretty soon from the rust. darned salty roads!

lol, I meant delrin. And i'm not the only one to break a front sway bar from using it. Protegemartin broke his while using it, and my grandpa broke his as well.

I bent a front strut somehow. Alignment is off positive camber on drivers front. Horrible tire wear these were supposed to last the season

For about 3 years I was using delrin endlinks front and rear. Never broke anything. Sure I bent bolts but that's because they were to short. Put longer bolts in and things were great. Every time I drive my car, I drive it hard.
