seriously Ryan. I was supposed to update my youtube video of my wagon but never did that. I was given a GoPro for my birthday and that would have been perfect to tape lots of my racing I had in the wagon. I dont even know where to start catching up on. I have not been on since pre Feb.
Anyone knows what 9K rpm feels like? I do

wow i havent been on in months, and you lazy bastards havent even changed this to number 9 yet....lol.... should i make a new one finally later?...lol... well the egt will begin being stripped in a few hours, im going to put the pro on the road finally. things changed in the past few months, the pro will now be a daily, and im going to be looking for a mint 323 or protege to build up, maybe a bf gtx, who knows, im not really in a hurry. but in the mean time im rebuilding the motor from the egt , i need to get some 10:1 or higher pistons, i already have rods, studs, gaskets im going to get oil pump gears, and some other odds and ends to keep it together for now...

Just braved a nasty hail storm at the JY... I was in the middle of pulling the Engine, trans, Ecu, edis, MAF, engine harness, and various associated sensors out of a 5speed KLG4 626...

Ended up just grabbing the ECU, harness, MAF, and a few misc sensors and solenoids. Got that pile of parts for the low price of $75, and I'll go back tomorrow to hopefully grab the engine and trans if they're still there after work.

If I get that stuff, I'm gonna convert my 02 Milli motor to G4 specs, and swap it into the white car for the rest of the summer/fall with the 626 transmission. Over winter I'll build the G4 shortblock, and the 02 DE heads for a nasty N/A KL. Then in the spring, I'll swap the feisty N/A motor with a built K8 transmission, and megasquirt into the white car, and throw the Milli/G4 motor and 626 trans into the black car along with that AVC turbo setup at 5-7psi...

I finally took apart my motor any one want to buy my pistons :p....

Cylinder 2 and 4 are bad as you can see.... I'm definately going to rebuild it... but I'm not sure if I should go for a stock rebuild or go all out... this motor has gone thru hell and back in past 3 years with me... and before that the previous owner used to beat on it too before I had it lol....

installed the header on the ZX2. doesn't fit for ****, and that stud on the passenger side is a mother****er, pretty sure it's leaking. I really should know better by now.

it sounds kinda rad if you ignore the exhaust leak?

Which header is it? Was one of the studs missing from the head already? Both of mine managed to remove the same stud themselves. What gasket are you using?

Pacesetter. I know, I know, I got it super cheap tho. I wasn't really expecting it to fit, so I'm not super surprised, but I didn't expect to have to move the cat so far back I can't bolt it to the bracket. all three of the studs were there to start with- the two on the timing belt side of the motor came out with the nut (the one on the other end stayed in) and for some reason I can't get the one closest to the end of the motor to bottom out. gonna take it out and see if I can get the nut off of the stud and start over. using Felpro gaskets, they're kinda weird so I'll probably order new ones that are like the originals. also, the cat has that weird inner ridge and the header flange doesn't, so I ended up using the new gasket and one I stole from my 240 to try to make them flat. I dunno. if I can't get it to fit right and stop leaking I'll just put the stock one back on.

Over the weekend I installed a BJ front strut brace, MX-3 rear subframe brace and some delicious MX-3 Recaros. OMG I love those friggin' seats!

cursory check of the exhaust leak makes it seem like it's coming from where the cat meets the header. so the header will have to come back out and I'll have to think of something.

I had this same problem when I installed one of those headers for someone. IIRC I used the new gasket supplied from pacesetter and made sure it was lined up perfectly and it stopped leaking.

We also ended up just leaving that nut over by the power steering off since its impossible to get it on.

I never got around to trying it but I did sit two next two each other and they looked pretty damn close to the same. The mounting points are different though.

header didn't come with a gasket. the real issue is that the cat has piping that extends out from the flange and it doesn't slot into the Pacesetter like it does the factory manifold. gonna have to grind it down.
