I will try slotting the pinch-bolt holes and maybe cutting more material away from the slot in the side, then grind the bore smooth and squeeze it down harder. I hope that works.

The frustrating part is that I have a spare set of front knuckles, but when I went to get them I only found the right side, and of course I need the left. Also, my front left caliper is fully extended and leaking. The inner pad is down to the back plate while the outer one has about 1/4" material remaining. So I figure I might as well get my spare front calipers out so I can swap them out, but they're missing too. I found my rear set and some brackets for the front, but that just isn't helpful right now.

So much for order. I put a lot of effort into organizing and tracking my parts so I can find what I need when I need it. Today I am more than a little upset that it was all for nothing.

    Comments/suggestions are always welcome.

are you sure you arent getting the " early" balljoint with the "later" spindle? there was a size change in 92 iirc

4wd only came in the early size. ( I am assuming he is working on his 4wd lol)

So I would need to bore the knuckle out first, right? And then get a sleeve of the proper thickness, or thicker and have to grind or bore it to size.

Yes, early 4wd size is correct. I guess Canada might have the larger ones in imported 92+ GT-Xs. I wonder if that would be considered an upgrade.

That's usually how its done, so a. The sleeve can be a nominal size, and b. So it is not extremely thin.

What material is this sleeve, and is it welded in place or anything?

It seems like it doesn't have far to go. I'll measure with a wire feeler gauge. I can't pull it together any more right now due to interference from the pinch bolt. It just bends. If I slot the pinch bolt holes I think it might be enough.

I sure hope I can find my spare today.

can be whatever you want, commonly are bronze or steel, maybe aluminum. Press fit. keep in mind I am not referring to anything specific, but a standard practice for repair.

wow, lots have changed since I last logged on here. its been like months. well some of you may know that I was in an accident back in Feb of last year and since the car has been sitting in my yard. Now it has come time for me to part it out and sell everything BG related that I currently own.... dam Ive got a lot of stuff. I will be starting a FS thread here shortly and we will see how it goes.
Meantime I would like to catch up on all that I missed since.

... I am now just thinking, shall I just list the entire car for sale? or will I be better off parting it out? Im only asking because theres a ton of work done to the car. To strip it will be a biatch. I am sure someone can fix up the car and be done with it. I am just moving on to something else right now.

Sorry to hear that, man. I hope you're mostly recovered by now.

Post some pictures of the car and a highlights list of mods and see how the interest lines up for partout or sale as-is. It may be appropriate to list it as a partout, but with notice that anyone who wants it whole will be given priority. You'd have to read back through the FS rules to be sure.

suspension in this stupid thing is killing me. with my roommates in the car and a trunk full of groceries, I'm getting a sort of banging noise from the right rear on bumps. it's definitely a different noise than the K-Sport clunk (which I'm pretty sure is the force of bumps being transferred sideways through the TTLs), this sounds almost like a broken spring or something. gonna have to put it in the air before work tomorrow, so annoyed about this.
