well today i washed her and degreased the engine bay, started soaking my O2 sensor with rust removal so i can get it off in a few days, polished my headlights to get all the yellow off, ordered a bunch of parts to replace, plug wires/O2 sensor/fuel injectors and a new head unit and a new valve cover gasket as cyl 1 spark plug well is full of oil causing misfire when cold it barely runs,

Also just wondering how much would this car be worth? i really would like to get a 323, ive always liked those, its auto and all original paint and engine 262k miles

Nitto NeoGen. They can be had for around $80 apiece, in the size you want, and are honestly the best budget tire you can buy as far as I'm concerned. I've used them on 3 of my cars and won't choose otherwise for a street tire on a daily driven car. They're classified as all seasons, but in the ultra high-performance category. Grippy enough to be fun, yet they won't wear out from under you in a few thousand miles.

I saw those, the treadwear rating looked decent and they're not super expensive... I'll probably go with either those or the BFGs, just gonna look into both a little more. I was looking at Yoko S.Drives too (I miss the old ES100 so much) but they're more expensive and like 340A A or something, which is kinda meh

Also it dawned on me earlier that the tires I have to replace have been on these wheels since I owned the Miata, so I can't be too mad about having to replace them.

Since its a daily driver, you could try what I got and they are super cheap. Primewell PZ-900 from Firestone. I paid $44 each which is including the slight discount I get from using the work account.

I cant give a review of them since I have only had them for about 200 miles, but they do survive well on rental cars.

they don't seem to come in the size I want... according to the website, my options are some Primewell Valencias for like $78 each, or some Bridgestones that are $111/$200-something respectively.

also, re: 195/55 instead of 205/50- I've got some 195/55s and 205/50s for drift spares for the 240 (both mounted on 15x7 0 offset wheels) and the 195s rub on the fender arches like a dickhead, 205s do not. not sure if it's the taller sidewall or what, but given that I already catch the inner fender lip on the rear of the ZX2 when there's weight in the back of the car, I'd be concerned about making it worse...

I checked four stores, they all give me the "Valera Sport" as the only Primewell option (had the name wrong earlier, whoops)

I just checked online as well and they dont show the PZ900, only the valera sport but for $68 each. Weird that they dont have them when I bought some and that my quoted price for my zip code is $10 cheaper than your area.

Maybe they stopped making that size and i got a set of remaining stock.

I've driven the yoko S-drives on an integra and was impressed with how horrid they were.Besides mediocre grip they had excessive side wall sequel on things that I'd barely consider aggressive turning. And that was a 40series if I recall, god knows how a 50+ would be.

FWIW, I had the same BFGs that you're looking at, for a time, that came on a set of NB wheels and wasn't very impressed by them. Driving them hard was like being on ice. They were very harsh tires, considering what they're classified as. They were good for some sliding in the Miata I owned at the time, but lacked lateral grip.
