Fun fact the tail light gasket is different for the 92+ tail lights. I really should of double checked that before ordering one.
I cut the area that didn't fit around the light area. I need to re-recaulk an body seam as well, Then power wash the area and check for leaks.

Hope I don't need to buy an additional gasket.

Installed a B&M short shifter in the bg. pressed down hard to shove the boot in, and popped the shifter from the bottom (facepalm)

so made a new problem that I have to take care of!

drill a couple holes and bolt it back together for now until you can replace it.

yeah, I'm going to have to bolt it together as a permanent solution, coz finding parts to replace might be hard to find!

                    Yesterday was a mixed bag.

                    Bad
Front rear control arm bushing debacle was not fun.
Finding out my rear torque mount is worn already was unforunate, I guess I installed it at a bad angle. I Snapped one of bolts off of it tightening it down so it would of needed to be replaced either way I guess.

I was running out of time so I had to stick to my first tie rod settings which was based on the old position. I had almost 2 inch's of toe out when I did my alignment today. Which according to my bad math is like 2.5º each wheel. Driving home was not fun.

                    Good
Ferdi's lower cross-member bushings were a pretty easy install, I'll miss being able to impact them down though.

The Moog inner tie rods went in pretty well, I had to mod the rental tool because of how damn thick the new ones are.

I have the difference in diameter written somewhere, but to give you a general idea the toe adjustment is done with a 16mm spanner instead of the standard 12mm.

I prefer the smaller crows foot insert removal tools but beggars can't be choosers, they can mod the rental tool because they're a dirtbag though.

The front bushing install went pretty well. Even managed to not destroy the old one pressing it out, wish the rear had of been as lucky.

Also I noticed my sway bar mount bolts had backed themselves out a good bit, I threw some red loctite on them and cranked them down. I don't think they'll come loose, or off, anytime soon.

                        Fixed passenger side mirror.

Got my new baby small lower control arm bushings/sleeves in. I broke out my measuring calipers at the parts counter picking them up, guy problem doesn't see that often.

The amount of play the new ones have is impressively minimal for rubber. I imagine they're completly solid rubber unlike the OEM weird design with gaps in them.

Drive it hard and watched the hot oil smoke when I got to Elizabeth's Pizza. Man I need to pull this motor and replace every seal and gasket on the bottom of this engine. I cant tell if its the oil pan gasket or the front and / or rear main, or a combo. Replace it all and takw the guessing out. Until then, it leaks about 4 qts in a week, week and a half time.

I knew a guy who had a first generation Saturn that burned a quart of oil every 60 miles. What you have is not quite that bad, but still really, really bad.
