Some people are like slinkies. They're not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Poor old blue got sucker punched from behind coming home from MIS on a monday morning, accident on a small two lane highway, firetrucks, cops, and two cars on the side of the road. I mention to my buddy as we are passing the accident"lets not get in an accident watching one.
Two fukking seconds later...Hammered. ..,the car swerved to the left(blue) and missed the the car in front. Thank goodness traffic was stopped pretty much cause we was in the wrong lane!
Cargo box that was secured to the roofofblue was under aholes bumper, his old lady(young) is crying "we are sooooo sorryy".
Ahole starts to blabber about losing his brakes, theres three little kids in the back. I decided not to call him on the brakes and try them my self.
Cops are already there cause ahole was entertaining himself with all the lights and stuff from the first accident.
Luckly the copshop/fire department was no more than 50 yrds. away from the bs,plastic crap from the rear of the car is jammed in the wheel well and making a racket, i think" blue is dead in Michigan".
Get the crap in wheel wells cleared, box back on the roof, bent to hell and we are gone.
The old lady had her feet on the effing dash and broke a foot, the kids were fine, blue got us home and ahole
Has No FKKING INSURANCE!!

My BFG comp2s went out with a bang.
I also got really **** mileage out of them so I rotated to Dunlops for a change.
They are ok so far, can't really beat on them yet as I broke a rear sway linkage at some point.
.
Also patched up a major exhaust leak and changed the oil. Lost my JDM TyTE magnetic drain plug while trying to replace the crush washer on it. Now I only have the oem drain plug like a poor person.
I've also been shutting down truck leaks very slowly. I think I'm getting close to the last point of entry.Beater=/= Sleeper

How do you like the DZ102's? I had DZ101's years ago and did not like them... the sidewalls seemed too soft or something. Car always felt a bit unsettled.
I switched to the original BFG sport comp and never looked back. Running the comp 2's now.Escort GTR -- 11.87 @ 117.6 mph -- 320 HP / 325 Ft. Lbs. @ 23 PSI

Yeah idk... i ran the same set of DZ101's on two different EGT's and my 4wd protege and didn't like the feel of them on any of the cars. I guess there could have been a bad tire in there somewhere for all i know. They wore nice and evenly... all the way past the wear bars lolEscort GTR -- 11.87 @ 117.6 mph -- 320 HP / 325 Ft. So far they feel exactly like(or maybe even better than) yoko S. Drives.
I was hoping they'd be close in feel to Star Specs but that was a bit hopeful on my end.
I don't think I ever drove the old 101's but these are definitely a weaker sidewall'd tire compared to the BFG's. I'm going to bump them above 40psi for the front for cunti-ish driving and see how they take it after I fix my loose rear end.
Dry Grip is surprisingly good for the wear rating but those are just crazy make-em ups anyway and they have decent break away indicators which is really important for a tire that I imagine would come off the wheel if were a higher profile.Beater=/= Sleeper

Changed front springs to fix coil bind, added larger vacuum reservoir to keep VRIS happy with flat-shift, replaced the serpentine belt which was old and crusty, mounted the grille lights finally, washed it, drove it, photographed it, and bumped into another forum member at a gas station in Golden. Busy day.Current:

Sold my Work Nezart Spokes to nab those and a good paycheck. The finish is not great on the advans, but no rash or anything, so I'll refinish them this winter and sell/trade for something else next spring I think.Current:
