Jack, I'm driving an Aerostar. I miss the miata sooooo much it isn't even funny. But to be honest, I'm kinda entertaining the idea of a Y34 infinity m45. I've kinda had a thing for them since early 03 when I saw one for the first time. My injuries were limited to strains and sprains, cuts and bruises. I got really lucky, and I hate driving the Aerostar, so I am looking hard for replacements.

I finally ran a wire between my diagnosis box and panel, so I have a CEL again! And the best part is... No codes!

Also sprayed some lithium grease on my fuel door hinge and e-brake lever on both calipers.

Changing the oil on blackie today before I head out to Montreal for the week... Got rehired in the engineering dept at CN so I will only get to work on my GT on weekends...I stay in Mtl monday to friday... didn't even get a chance to look at my FE3 goodies box... no time...

Back to the 91, it seems I'm getting mucho blow by... lots of gas in the oil... oils is thin...can't remember when I last changed it... tried to find the bigger 626 oil filter in the spec books, kept getting reverted back to the short one ; even looking up the 2.0 l 626 and Mx6... anybody know the Fram code for the bigger oil filter? the small one is P6607 if I remember correctly...

I went with Pennzoil 5W30, should have stuck to 10W30 considering it likes to burn oil, but it was on sale...

Shouldn't get gas in the oil from blowby, unless there is no compression at all. Either it is staying on cold start enrich, or (some) cylinders are not firing. Or you haven't changed it in seven years of cold starts/short trips!

Purolator Pure One filter (gold one/good one) is PL14610 for V6, what I always use. Different letters same number for the white "standard" one.
Lot of evidence that Fram filters suck today, used to use them but no more.

The "High mileage" oils do seem to reduce oil consumption. Using Castrol GTX 10-40 HM. The extra $$ for HM 5qts is less than one quart price, so...

Here Advance Auto is always having sales of Oil + filter, and the Purolator + Castrol is one of the combos.
