I think I'm gonna buy one of those ninja tools, works much better than trying to hold a wrench on the cam. and prevents you from having to take the valve cover off.

Not mine, but I did the final assembly on my buddy's new motor for his escort gt.

                              Specs are:
Stock block, bored to 85.5 mm.
                              Maruha big bore head gasket
                              custom Venolia pistons. 13.5:1 compression
                              Manley rods with arp bolts
B8 cast crank that was knife edged.
                              Had the rotating assembly balanced
Boundry engineering full race oil pump
                              ARP main studs
                              ACL bearings
                              Mazda seals

The head was sent to Gude racing and was ported and sent back. I then had it milled flat. Then I had the machine shop fit 1mm oversized valves from flyin miata, and then had a 5 angle valve job done.
Custom mechanical cams. I can't disclose the specs, due to them not being mine to give out. The guy that grinds the cams doesn't want people to know the specs because he doesn't want copies to be made. But I can tell you it has LOTS of lift. As in, over .400" of lift. Duration is not overboard, as we need the car to idle like it has stock cams, or close to it.
Supertech valve springs, supertech titanium retainers, supertech lifters, and supertech valve seals.
                              Stock cam gears
                              Mazda timing belt

Cut intake, and then sent it in for extrude honing.
Throttle body was sent to maxbore for boring out.

The cars in his class are suppossed to be 100% stock, but they don't check anything if the engine looks like it's never been touched. So we left the external parts alone (didn't clean anything we didn't have to.) and even disguised some of the signs that said the motor was rebuilt by using battery acid on certain things to make it rust quickly and badly, to make it look like it was never apart. lol, it works pretty good.

Anyways, I have to get to bed. It was a long day...
