What did you do to your BG(part 8)

Installed the new PLX DM-6 wideband combo kit. Install was easy and and stock ECU seems happy with the narrowband signal its getting from the PLX.

Played with the airflow meter a little as well, car runs better and pulls harder now then before since I now know whats going on with the engine. Idle was crappy until I disconnected the battery and reset the ECU, had to readjust the VAF after that but now it idles great and power from 4-6.5K is better then before.

Also did a few other items that needed attention. Oh and the Flyin Miata timing belt ninja tool is a must have for doing timing belts, everyone with a BP should buy one.

Today I picked up my rebuilt Shiney VJ-23

rebuilt by whom?? i remember sending my VJ23 to canada & the ****ing company scammed me big time. swapped out my turbo CHRA for a bad one & then resold mine

Finally drove my BG!! Insurance is on, but they're giving me issues at the MTO with needing an apraisal on the car...wtf I never had one done when I registered it the first time. So I'm going the local MTO office and see if they can tell me what the other people are talking about.

Otherwise, she gave me some trouble on the drive lol, the guy I sold it too had a safety done, well they didnt torque the rear lug nuts...so I found that out real quick. Easy fix. Kept driving...started sputtering on me...pull over...nothing seems out of place...continue driving issue clears up! Get about 80 miles and it starts again...go see a local BG person in the area so we can poke around...OH! My radiator end tank has decided to leak all my coolant out!

So I had to drive the 100-110 miles BACK to my apartment in my brother in laws truck, grabbed my rad and anything else I may need, stopped in to get a rad mount kit and a new lower rad hose...AND WTF! no one carries a molded/pre formed lower hose for the BG! It's that ****ty coil bound hose that doesn't bend...so I drive BACK to the car, swap the rad out, trim the edges on my old lower hose (started to swell). Found a bad solder at the fan and it overheated a bit lol...marette fix ftw (bro in law is an electician lol) then I was off!

Car ran great for about...ooooh 50 miles then started sputtering again...lower rad hose clamp apparently stripped and leaked most of the coolant out again...lovely! Replaced the clamp, fill/burp/continue. Another 50 miles...sputtering again...coolant system is sealed solid and the fan works fine...wtf? Went to change the coolant temp sensor...ah CRAP! All my CTS are from my 626 and won't work! Change the coil for the hell of it...and got me another 50 miles before it started sputtering again!

Luckily I was 15 mins from my parents, and made it back...sputtering issue yet to be determined...possibly a bad VAF since I noticed the intake hiss would be quiet at times and really loud at other times during idle....so tomorrow's another day lol, expect another long post haha...
